Pyytöuoma Nature Path

Pyytöuoma Nature Path is an excellent destination for daytrips and it is also good for families. The path circles in a beautiful scenery along the Pyytöuoma riverbed and cliffs. Pyytöuoma is situated in the Village of Pernu, about 37km from the Posio town centre towards Rovaniemi. Pyytötuoma area is protected and almost in its natural state. There are rare species of flora and fauna living in the ancient forests of Pyytöuoma.

The Pyytöuoma Nature Path is 3,7 kilometres long ring route. Along the path there are 12 info signs which tells about the nature and forest management of the area. At the starting point there are a spacious parking lot and a tipi-like hut. The path circles along the Pyytöuoma riverbed and there is a lean-to shelter in the halfway of the path.
